Chhatariya group is one of the well-known industrial groups in the state of Gujarat, having diversified field of activities extending from food processing, steel making, steel fabrication, dyes and chemicals, as well as fire fighting.

The manufacturing of fire hoses is undertaken by a group company, Chhatariya Rubber & Chemical industries (CRC). This company was established in the year 1980 with fully automated circular weaving looms and other latest machinery employing revolutionary process for manufacture of quality fire hoses in India. As this is a very specialised product, only a handful of industries around the globe manufacture these products under stringent quality requirements and other allied approvals.

The fire hoses manufactured by CRC are approved by the defence establishments, air force, naval headquarters, oil installations and rigs, steel plants, textile mills, refineries and state fire fighting departments having hundred of fire engines under them.

From 1981 to 1989-90, extensive supplies were made to the then Soviet Union to cater all their establishments under the Soviet control. Present markets include governmental, semi-governmental and private establishments in India and certain south-east countries.

Quality approvals include certifications from the National Test House (Government of India), Bureau of Indian Standards (BSI specifications which are similar to the existing British standards), Mercantile Marine Department (for use in merchant navy vessels), Director of Inspection and Quality Assurance (for civil government supplies) and Director General of Quality Assurance (for defence supplies).

CRC industry possesses under its own roof a fully equipped laboratory to ensure stringent quality requirements for incoming raw materials and process control at each stage of production. The products are 100% tested to ensure reliability.
